Use the same Google account you use in the extension. Signing in costs nothing and uses no credits - it is how the beta stays with people who can tell us when it breaks.
Not ready to test? Get the stable build instead
There is no beta open right now
Everything that was in the last one has shipped, so the stable build and the beta are currently the same thing - there would be nothing for you to test. You are on the list: when the next beta opens, the extension will offer it to you the way it offers any other update.
In the meantime, the most useful thing you can do is send in a question that does not work - the popup's Send a question in. That is what decides which site gets supported next.
A beta counts up towards the release it leads to - 3.2.901,
3.2.902 and so on before 3.3.0 - so a higher
number is always the newer one. Check yours on
chrome://extensions; a beta build says so in the popup too.
What changed in this build
What is new in this one
- McGraw Hill Connect. Multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank in homework, multiple choice in tests. Click the heading over the question - Multiple Choice Question or Fill in the Blank Question in homework, Multiple Choice in a test.
- It leaves nothing in the page but answers. The side panel and its corner are gone. A page you have not touched is not touched, and nothing it does write names the extension or what it is for.
- Send a question in. If something has no button or gets read wrongly, add the page from the popup - as many pages as the question spans - and send them over. That is what gets a site supported.
- Your settings follow your account. Colour, display mode, duration, the highlight switches and the premium-model setting are saved against your Google account, so a second computer picks them up instead of starting from the defaults.
Installs the same way as the stable build - drag the zip onto
chrome://extensions with Developer mode on.
It is a beta. It has been tested, but on fewer real pages than the stable build. If something is wrong, tell us at support@clevernode.org and go back to the stable build - installing it over the top is all it takes, and your key and settings stay put.
