Click a question and the answer appears right where it belongs - beside the blank, on the option it picks. Multiple choice, dropdowns, typed blanks, graphs and check-all-that-apply.

Where it works

Three sites today. Each one is handled on its own terms, not with a single generic screen-reader.

Canvas LMS

*.instructure.com · your school's Canvas
  • Quizzes, classic and New Quizzes
  • Multiple choice, true/false, multiple answers
  • Short answer and essay prompts
  • Works on .edu instances and self-hosted Canvas
Supported

WebAssign

webassign.net
  • Multi-part questions, answered blank by blank
  • Dropdowns, typed boxes and MathQuill/MathType fields
  • Radio groups, including picture and graph pickers
  • Reads the graph's own description, so "pick the right graph" works
  • Compares each answer against what you already submitted
Supported

Pearson Mastering

pearson.com · MyLab & Mastering
  • One part at a time - click "Part C", answer Part C
  • The item's Learning Goal is sent as context automatically
  • Radio, dropdown, check-all-that-apply and the equation editor
  • Drag-and-drop sorting: each item is labelled with its bin
  • Reads MathJax formulas as real LaTeX, not garbled glyphs
  • Figures come along with Pearson's own description of each

What it actually looks like

Nothing is mocked up here for looks - these are the real marks the extension draws, in the real colours.

CANVAS — one question, one answer
Question 4 · 1 pt
Which organelle regulates what enters and leaves the cell? Cell membrane
  • Nucleus
  • Ribosome
  • Cell membrane
  • Mitochondrion
The answer sits beside the question in your chosen colour and clears itself after the number of seconds you set.
WEBASSIGN — every blank, separately
3.  [−/2 Points]
Let f(x) = 4x − 3.
Slope of the tangent at x = 2: 4 4matches yours
At x = 0 the function is: continuous from the left ▾ neitherdiffers from yours
Multi-part questions get one answer per blank, pinned to that blank. Each is checked against what you submitted - and told you plainly when the two disagree.
PEARSON — check all that apply
Part G
Which of Newton's laws could we have used to predict that the forces are equal and opposite? Check all that apply.
  • Newton's 1st law
  • Newton's 2nd law
  • Newton's 3rd law
Newton's 1st law | Newton's 2nd law
A set answer marks every option that applies, not just the first one - so a three-box question isn't half-answered.

Click any answer to copy it. Prefer marks without the text? Turn on outline-only mode in the popup.

How it works

No screenshots, no copy-paste, no second window to switch to.

1

Click the question

The question is read straight out of the page, along with every option, the figure descriptions and the maths.

2

Blanks are numbered

A multi-part question is sent as numbered blanks, so each answer comes back knowing which slot it belongs in.

3

The answer is drawn in place

Beside the blank, outlined on the option it picks, in the colour you chose - as ordinary text on the page rather than a panel over it.

4

It clears itself

Answers disappear after the duration you set, and nothing is left behind in the page when they go.

What it can't do

Worth reading before you pay - all sales are final.

Straight answers about the limits

  • The AI gets things wrong. It is a strong general model, not your instructor. On unusual or badly-worded questions it will be confidently wrong.
  • It cannot read your course materials. Questions written from your lecture slides, a specific lab handout or a private textbook are guesswork to it.
  • It cannot answer what it cannot see. A question rendered as an image with no description, or a drag-and-drop, drawing or simulation tool, has nothing for it to read.
  • Only the three sites above. Anything else does nothing at all - it is not a general-purpose answer bot for every site.
  • It is not a guarantee about your school's rules. Using it may breach your institution's academic honesty policy. That decision, and its consequences, are yours.
  • Credits are spent on the request, not the outcome. A wrong answer still costs a credit. Requests that fail before reaching the AI cost nothing.

Why Choose CleverNode?

Answers in seconds

Click a question and the answer is on the page - typically in two to four seconds.

Pinned to the blank

Multi-part questions get one answer per blank, marked on the option it picks rather than listed somewhere else.

Checked against yours

On a question you have already answered it says whether it agrees with what you submitted - and it is neutral about who is right.

Reads graphs and maths

Graph descriptions and LaTeX are read from the page, so "pick the correct graph" and formula questions work.

Yours to configure

Answer colour, how long answers stay, outline-only mode, and which theme the panel uses.

Credit-based

One credit per question. Credits never expire, and a request that never reaches the AI is not charged.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this safe to use?

It draws the answer into the page as ordinary text and clears it again after the time you set. It never fills in, selects or submits anything for you - on Canvas, WebAssign or Pearson alike, what gets submitted is only ever what you chose.

How do credits work?

Each question costs 1 credit. Your monthly credits are automatically restocked when Stripe processes your payment. Credits never expire - use them whenever you need!

How do I install it?

Download the ZIP, turn on Developer mode on chrome://extensions, and drop the ZIP onto the page - Chrome unpacks it itself. The install guide walks through it step by step, with troubleshooting for the two or three things that usually go wrong.

Can I get a refund?

No, all sales are final. CleverNode does not offer refunds or exchanges under any circumstances.

Can the AI make mistakes?

Yes, AI can and will make mistakes. Some exams are based on private course materials, lecture notes, or books that are not publicly available. We cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. Use at your own discretion and verify answers when possible.

Which sites does it work on?

Canvas LMS (all instances, including .edu domains and .instructure.com), WebAssign, and Pearson MyLab & Mastering. On anything else the extension does nothing at all. See Where it works for what each site supports.

What does an answer look like on the page?

It is drawn as ordinary text next to the blank it belongs to, in the colour you pick, with a dotted outline on the option it chose - then it clears itself after the number of seconds you set. There are three real examples above. Clicking an answer copies it.

What about multi-part and check-all-that-apply questions?

Both are handled. A multi-part question is answered blank by blank, and a check-all-that-apply question marks every option that applies rather than only the first one.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes! You can cancel anytime directly from your account. Go to "Claim Account" or "Manage Subscriptions" and enter your API key. Your subscription will continue until the end of the billing period, and you'll keep all your credits since they never expire.

What happens if I run out of credits?

You can buy additional credits anytime using your API key in the Buy Credits section above. Your monthly subscription will automatically restock your credits when Stripe processes your payment.

About a minute: turn on Developer mode on chrome://extensions and drop the ZIP onto the page. Not on the Chrome Web Store yet - here's what that means.
