CLEVERNODE EXTENSION - INSTALLATION GUIDE

Step 1: Extract the ZIP File
- Right-click on CleverNode-Extension-v2.0.0.zip
- Select "Extract All" (Windows) or double-click (Mac)
- Save to a folder you can find later

Step 2: Open Chrome Extensions
- Open Chrome browser
- Go to: chrome://extensions/
- OR click the puzzle piece icon > Manage Extensions

Step 3: Enable Developer Mode
- Look for the "Developer mode" toggle in the top-right corner
- Click to enable it (it should turn blue)

Step 4: Load the Extension
- Click "Load unpacked" button (top-left)
- Navigate to the folder where you extracted the ZIP
- Select the folder and click "Select Folder"

Step 5: Done!
- The extension icon should appear in your Chrome toolbar
- Go to Canvas and click on any quiz question
- The CleverNode panel will appear!

Step 6: Get API Key
- Visit clevernode.org to buy credits
- Enter your API key in extension settings

TROUBLESHOOTING
========================================

Problem: "Load unpacked" button not visible
Solution: Make sure Developer mode is enabled (top-right toggle)

Problem: Extension icon not showing
Solution: Click the puzzle piece icon > pin the CleverNode extension

Problem: "Managed by your organization" message
Solution: This is normal for sideloaded extensions. It's safe.

Problem: Extension not working on Canvas
Solution: Make sure you're logged into Canvas and on a quiz page
